By friendshelpingfriends - on Oct 22, 2011
Posted in friendshelpingfriends

Donated Dental Services (DDS) is a Wisconsin Dental Association program. The program is directed to people who are unable to afford needed dental care because of a limited income which is clearly linked to a permanent disability, chronic illness or advanced age (65 and over).

Ronald McDonald Care Mobile™:  This traveling unit provides no-cost dental services to qualifying children in  south-central Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Clinics offering free or reduced-fee dental care

This list of free or low-cost health clinics in Wisconsin is from the Department of Health Services ForwardHealth program. The page includes maps showing the locations of federally qualified health centers, free clinics, rural health centers, and tribal health centers in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Dental Association has a list of reduced rate dental clinics for low-income and uninsured individuals.

HealthNet of Janesville offers free care to eligible low-income Rock County residents with no health insurance. The clinic is located at 1344 Creston Park Drive, Suite 2, Janesville. For more information about HealthNet Dental Clinic's screening procedure and services call 608-756-4638 to enroll.

Marquette University School of Dentistry Dental Clinic provides dental care for about half the price of a private dentist. Participating clinics are located both in and outside of Milwaukee. You will need to schedule an initial screening appointment to determine if you are eligible for clinic services. For more information call 414-288-1510 (English) or 414-288-1520 (Spanish).

The Marshfield Clinic Park Falls Dental Center opened March 3, 2008. The dental center is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday – Friday. A sliding fee scale will assist those with limited income and no insurance. You can schedule an appointment by calling 715-762-0200 or by visiting the Center's web site.

The Marshfield Clinic Chippewa Dental Center serves all patients regardless of the insurance or ability to pay. The Center offers a dental  financial assistance program but there are certain requirements. Information about the requirements is available by calling 715-738-2000. The center is located in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Thank you for taking the time to gather all this information. You are a wealth of knowledge and I so appreciate it. I am looking for dental help. I have insurance but it is terrible and i need over 10,000$ worth of work done. I am contemplating full dentures but still have to pay thousands of dollars for that as well. Am going to call a few of these numbers to see if they will help. Many places wont help me because we have insurance...even though its bad we still have it...lol.. Hope you have an amazing day and thanks again...God Bless

On July 1, 2002, a new Medicaid Program began. The program, called the Non-Traditional Medicaid Plan, is for an adult who could qualify for Family Medicaid because he or she has a dependent child. Like you, I also suffer from the devastating  damage caused by this medication.  No longer can I perform as a flutist. After being unsuccessful at trying to hire a law firm to have the company pay for dental work, am trying to salvage the few teeth I have left.  Maybe if we pull together, a firm will tackle this.  It would appear that the people suffering from this is more than the average public knows.  Would you be interested in joining me in the fight?

Let Them Hear Foundation

What is the Let Them Hear Foundation Advocacy Program?

Few things are more frustrating than being told by your medical provider that you require a particular service, surgery, or piece of equipment, and then being told by your insurer they won’t pay for it.  If your insurance provider has denied a request from your medical provider for certain hearing-related services, the Let Them Hear Foundation has a nationwide Advocacy Program to assist you in appealing the denial, free of charge. The specific services we provide appeal support with are: cochlear implants (single or bilateral), Bone-Anchored Hearing Aid implantation, conventional hearing aids, atresia repair, microtia reconstruction, balance disorders, and other hearing related surgery.

Desperatley Need Dental Work!

By SUPERNANA - on Aug 21, 2007... modified on Aug 21, 2007

I suffer from chronic pain, I have fibromalgia and many severe back problems. About 3 years ago, my doctor prescribed a medication to me called Actiq, it is a pain medication. This medication comes in the form of a lollipop.  Taking this medication over a period of three years, destroyed my teeth. I took very good care of my teeth during the time I was taking Actiq and did not have any serious dental problems before taking the Actiq.
The dentist informed me that it would cost me $25,000 dollars to have my teeth fixed. There is no way I can afford this. I am hoping to find a dentist that will fix my teeth at a reduced cost to donate dental services.
My damaged teeth is affecting my life in a very negative way. I am unable to smile without feeling very self-conscious. I have been trying to find employment, but I know that my not smiling and feeling so self-conscious has affect my ability to get a job. It has affected my social life. When I go out in public or meet someone new, I do not want to talk or smile because I am afraid they will see my teeth. Additionally, I suffer from infections in my teeth and severe pain from toothaches. It is very difficult to eat.
Please, if anyone knows of a dentist or agency that has reduced fees or will donate dental services, I would be very grateful.
